Visiting the Very Large Array
The Very Large Array, or VLA for short, is a massive radio telescope located near Albuquerque, New Mexico.

We came here as two groups
- Flew in from Los Angeles and landed in Albuquerque
- Drove down from Provo, Utah

One interesting quirk of the VLA is that because it uses radio waves to observe the universe, you have to turn off your phone and other electronic devices.

After seeing the array, we went to the Nuclear Museum. It had been our plan to go to Trinity, but because of the government shutdown, it was closed. It was chilling to see the size of an ICBM.

To close out the night, we watched our BYU Cougars trounce the Utah Utes from our hotel room.
